About JRC Glove:

James Churchill sold his first deerskin work gloves out of Centralia, Washington in 1895. The men buying them worked with their hands. The gloves had to hold.

That standard has remained: JRC Glove still cuts and sews in Centralia, sorting every American whitetail hide by weight and color before a single cut is made. Stitching runs on lockstitch machines, which hold up when a thread breaks, not the chain-stitch machines that unravel from a single failure. Most gloves made today are chain-stitched, and shipped from overseas.

We proudly sell JRC deerskin gloves because of their commitment to quality and American craftsmanship.

Common Questions:

How warm is the Sherpa lining compared to the foam-lined version? Significantly warmer. The heavy pile Sherpa traps far more air than 1/8" foam and is designed for sustained cold-weather: frost mornings, winter ranch work, or cold hunting stands. If you're working in temperatures below 40°F regularly, this is your glove. For a less padded glove, our foam-lined model may be a better fit.

Will the deerskin hold up in wet winter conditions? Deerskin tolerates moisture very well and requires very little maintenance. Tt stays supple when wet and returns to its soft character as it dries. Avoid force-drying with direct heat. For prolonged wet conditions, treat periodically with a natural leather conditioner.

Is the Sherpa lining removable? No, the Sherpa lining is sewn into the glove. This ensures it doesn't bunch, shift, or pull out with the glove during removal.
