About Deer's Leather Company
From the Hunt. Nothing Goes to Waste.
Our Story
Deer's Leather Company has its roots in rural Deer Park, Wisconsin. Our parent company, in operation since 1953, processes deer brought in by hunters from across Minnesota and Wisconsin. A premier source material for all sorts of leather goods, the cold winters of the Midwest uniquely produce some of the thickest and most robust whitetail hides in the entire United States.
Each hide we receive is salted and dried here in our shop. It travels to an American tannery, comes back fully tanned and ready to work, and from there becomes something useful: gloves, hides, pillows, craft and fly tying materials.
Midwest deer. Salted and dried in Deer Park. Tanned at an American tannery. Finished and shipped from our shop.
We are proud to partner with Churchill Glove (also known as JRC Glove) of Centralia, WA, one of the few remaining American glove makers. Their deerskin gloves are made with the same hides we process. When you buy a pair, receive something with a traceable origin and an attention to quality.
Our Standard
Our supply chain is 100% within the United States. Close, trusted partnerships with our hunters, tanneries, and production team means that we can offer quality products at a reasonable price. We are invested in our local community and are proud to support American jobs.
